Our Goals

Since 2008, STEEC has conducted programs in an outdoor setting, providing place-based and experiential learning. 

STEEC programs are designed to target K-12 students, building upon each grade level to meet NGSS standards while implementing environmental literacy. Programs are created and implemented to build from one year to the next, allowing for a breadth of student natural world knowledge. 

STEEC reaches thousands of K-12 students each year, including underserved students who are not traditionally connected to the outdoors. The programs are successful and have been adopted into local school curriculum and have gained rapport with school faculty, community volunteers, and parents. STEEC’s goal is to provide programs that foster an understanding of natural resources.
